So, referrals were given out to folks up to July 22nd, 2005. Congrats to all those families who are finding out about their babies this week and next. I have a feeling that since all agencies were caught off guard, the pictures might be slow to post.
What does that mean for us? If we go by a guestimate, that we will have an Aug 30, 2006 LID (hoping for better but this might be it), Then we are 399 days from referral. Considering that this month, they did 9 days of LIDS, we are completely screwed. We seem to have enough time to run for President and still wait for this kid. We keep hearing “Oh, it will speed up.” But guess what? It hasn’t.
Anyone else feeling funky about this today?

Funky, I am not sure that really covers the feelings I am having right now. 9 days??? What the hell??? Did anyone read what RQ had quoted by the CCAA-I have a few things to say about patience, sanity and tranquility…..by the time this baby arrives I will have been waiting over 5 years for a baby-I am not sure I will be sane enough to have a baby at that point!! I cannot imagine this getting any worse…wait should I put that in black and white? I am happy for those getting their babies but crushed at the thought of how long we might have to wait to see our baby’s face.

Yes! We have this perpetual nine month wait….we never get past nine months. Everytime someone asks “how much longer” I say “nine months”. Their response is…”didn’t you say that last month” or “didn’t you say that 2 months ago??” YES! I did!!!! now GO AWAY!
